"I am accustomed to sitting on the floor in the tea room, with the black vinyl record on the turntable spinning slowly, playing Ryuichi Sakamoto's music. The peaceful sound of the cello fills the space, and the light flickers through the tree shadows. The tatami mat releases its unique fragrance. Closing my eyes, I feel the southern breeze brushing by, and the meadow sways gently in the warm sunlight." This is my favorite moment of the day.

The volume that divides the entrance and public areas is actually the wine cabinet behind the island. Through functional integration, we make it the first break in the space. The unsatisfactory configuration gives the visual a short stay, and through the blank design, people can feel the extension of the space and the penetration of light from the peripheral vision..

Light enters through the windows, with the sofa facing outward. We believe there should be little distance between people and nature, simply facing it is enough.
At the far end is a tatami room for reading or making tea, where the homeowner often spends time. With a pillar and a platform raised two steps, the space forms a quiet corner. Once seated, the pace of life naturally slows, a small ritual within everyday living.

The rough brushstroke artwork on the side wall of the tea room embodies the Zen essence of the space and the power of nature. Each stroke not only captures the depth and flow of ink, but also brings a balance between stillness and movement within the space.

The Zen atmosphere extends into the dining area. Through the use of negative space and the integration of a small plant landscape, the arrangement subtly echoes the spirit of the tea rooms of Sen no Rikyū. As a result, the dining table is not merely a place for meals, but also a quiet spot to sit, gather one’s thoughts, and experience a moment of Zen within everyday life.

Unlike the ethereal feel of the daytime, the lighting at night creates a completely different warm atmosphere. The soft light illuminates the space, giving the entire environment a cozy and tranquil feeling. This interplay of light and shadow not only enhances the depth of the space but also offers the residents a completely different sensory experience, making each moment in the living space unique.

The round planter at the end of the hallway, serves as a visual focal point connecting the public and private areas. The plant stands quietly, seemingly injecting a sense of stability into the space without a sound.

The bedroom continues the design language of the public spaces, simple and calm. There are no unnecessary decorations; the tones are soft and the materials natural. It feels like a place undisturbed, where one can quietly stay.

The gentle breeze from the southern ranch blows softly, and I quietly stay here, feeling its tenderness.
