Thoreau once lived by Walden Pond, trying to slow the pace of his days. He observed the changing surface of the water, and in doing so, observed himself. Later, he gathered those days into 《 Walden 》. The water offered him no answers. It simply remained, day after day, changing with the seasons.
This home, too, lies near a lake. Morning light settles gently into the rooms, afternoons seem to stretch a little longer, and family life unfolds through these unremarkable moments, slowly gathering meaning. The children grow a little each day. Daily routines repeat themselves, yet something quietly changes in the smallest details. Perhaps, years from now, what remains in memory will not be any particular day, but those ordinary moments that once seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary.
梭羅曾在瓦爾登湖畔生活，試著把日子過得慢一些。他觀察水面的變化，也觀察自己，後來將那些日子寫進《湖濱散記》。湖水沒有回答他什麼，只是隨著季節更迭，日復一日地存在著。
這座房子也靠近一片湖。晨光緩緩落進室內，午後的時間彷彿變得漫長，而一家人的生活，就在這些沒有特別標記的時刻裡慢慢累積。孩子一天天長大，日常不斷重複，又在細微之處悄悄改變。或許多年以後，真正被記住的不是某個特別的日子，而是那些曾經以為再平常不過的片刻。
As the elevator doors open, the pace of the city gives way to the quiet of the lakeside. The first step home begins with a moment of stillness.
電梯門開啟，從城市的步調走向湖畔的靜謐，歸家的第一步，始於一處留白。
Bare feet meet the textured herringbone wood flooring, its grain rippling outward like rings across the surface of a lake. The irregular greige sofa rests without a fixed orientation, like an island scattered naturally along the shore, quietly gathering daylight and the rhythms of everyday life alongside the window seat.
赤足踏上人字拼木地板的肌理，木紋如湖面漣漪般向外延伸；不規則的米灰色沙發沒有固定的方向，如湖岸邊自然散落的島嶼，與窗邊臥榻一同靜靜收納日光與生活。
The numbers on the wall clock turn one by one, giving time a tangible presence within the open, uncluttered space. Like the shifting light across Walden Pond through the changing seasons, time flows gently through the rhythms of everyday life, never hurried, never still.
牆上的數字鐘一格格翻轉，時間在留白的空間裡有了形狀，如瓦爾登湖面隨四季更迭的光影，不疾不徐地流過日常。
The wooden floor leads the way into the most intimate corner of this lakeside retreat. Beside the pristine white bed stands a quiet arrangement of bare branches, as though a still morning in the forest, just after the leaves have fallen, has been gently carried into a dream.
木地板將步伐引領至最私密的湖畔深處，純白床榻旁佇立著一株靜默的枯枝盆栽，彷彿把森林裡某個落葉後的清晨悄悄搬進了夢境。
On one side of the master bedroom, a large sliding door conceals the bathroom, where dark stone and soft light intertwine to create a sense of quiet depth. Amid the rising steam, a moment of stillness unfolds, offering a space for quiet contemplation.
主臥一側，大拉門將浴室隱於門後，深色石材與柔和光影交織出沉靜的層次。水氣氤氳之間，留給自己一段安靜冥想的時光。
The warmth of wood envelops the dressing room, where a full-length mirror reflects the quiet gestures of everyday life. Free of unnecessary ornament, the space lends an unhurried rhythm to every departure and return.
木質的溫潤包覆著更衣室，大面落地鏡映照著日常的身影。沒有多餘的裝飾，讓每一次出門與歸來，都保有從容的節奏。
Continuing the home’s warm and understated palette, the children’s room welcomes a few vivid splashes of color. Batman makes an appearance on the walls of both the bedroom and bathroom, bringing a touch of childhood imagination and adventure to the otherwise simple space.
延續整體溫潤的調性，孩子的房間多了幾筆鮮明色彩。蝙蝠俠穿梭於臥房與浴室的牆面，讓純粹的空間多了一點童年的想像與冒險。
In the simple act of washing one’s hands, the sound of water mingles with the subtle scent of herbs, bringing this journey through the home to a quiet, gentle close.
洗淨雙手的片刻，伴隨水聲與草本清香，讓這趟空間的探索，在沉靜之中緩緩落幕。
